I don't know about you...

but we had the cutest trick-or-treaters come to our door this year...
all the way from Never-Never-Land... Tinkerbell and Peter Pan

Nana and Poppy came intown from Charlotte to experience Halloween with Ava and Bryce. We watched Ava's costume parade at school on Friday morning. She cracked me up because she was so serious and barely acknowledged that we were there calling to her with cameras, etc. It was a really quick parade but cute to see all the kiddos.

Friday night she really impressed me with trick-or-treating. We went out about 5:30pm, and she went door to door for almost two hours. Bryce dressed up for his first Halloween and rode in the wagon. We went to a very family oriented section of the neighborhood... where there were tons of kids and lots of decorations.

A few houses had a bit of a scare factor whether it was someone dressed as a gorilla or a skeleton decoration that made noise. Ava picked the houses that she thought were "not scary." Most people sat outside because they would be answering their door over and over minutes apart. That helped because if they were sitting outside she felt "safe" and she would tell us that it was a "not scary house." She got TONS of candy. Ironically, we gave her one sucker that night... and she has yet to ask about any of it again. It's a good thing because Mommy, Daddy, Nana and Poppy didn't forget.
