The closer to the holiday, the bigger the party. We welcomed Chad, Jenn, Cole, Cora and Ryan to the group. We celebrated Poppy's birthday with a homemade cake from two of our favorite chefs.
The grandkids had a ball celebrating on the play deck.
Ava and Cole LOVED floating down the river especially from their boat! The water was a little cool, but the trip was very relaxing. One trip Ava was goofing around and flipped out, but she handled it well saying she "just wanted to swim for a minute." Ha!
We are so lucky because Poppy, his sons and his neighbor Dennis always put on the most amazing fireworks show over the river. All 4 kids enjoyed the fireworks this year. Cora and Jenn did take a mini nap in the car... but considering how loud and late, we were very lucky.
