We thought with the move and the cruise earlier in the year, we would pass on the family beach trip. Ava and Bryce completely disagreed, and I am so thankful they did. We all always thoroughly enjoy our Hilton Head summer vacation. Instead of a renting a condo for the week, we stayed at the Marriott for a long weekend. Only bonus of daddy living solo in the new town in a hotel for a month this summer = Marriott points!
We had very nice weather and enjoyed many of our favorite restaurants, the beach daily, riding bikes, pool and more. Afterall, I know the kids aren't going to believe us when they are all in high school, that we all 5 stayed in one hotel room for 4 nights. I have the fondest memories doing this growing up, but... I don't remember a baby crying, sister kicking in bed or falling off bed, not being able to go in room while trying to get a baby to nap or all trying to use one bathroom or luggage and sand everywhere... hopefully they won't either. My parents didn't even have movies on the Kindle to help us stay quiet at bedtime.
Mostly we just wore them out so they would fall asleep as quickly as possible. Last year Rylee was in a baby bjorn for the bike riding and playing putt putt. This year she full on participated!
Waiting on our table at the Mexican restaurant in Shelter's Cove.
Rylee liked the Salty Dog... just a little...
At least from the backside, you can't see the pile of veggie straws that were in Rylee's lap to bribe her to participate in my pictures.
Now that we live closer to the beach, hoping we can come more than once a year. Love making memories with my precious family!
