We left late Wednesday of last week for our long weekend. We were thrilled to meet our precious cousin/niece Cora.
Nana and Aunt Jenn were gracious enough to watch the kiddos on Thursday evening while we went to Columbia for the NC State vs. USC college football opener. We went with Poppy, Chad and Ryan (Wolfpack fans)... we tailgated with Mimi and Pop (Gamecock fans). The kids supported Dada's team, but unfortunately, the outcome was not in his favor.
We recovered from the Wolfpack loss and were able to still have an awesome weekend in Charlotte. Cole and Ava played so well together especially since (as Cole says) Ava talks now. We went to a local fair on Saturday where they had a ball as you can see from the slideshow below. Bryce is anxious to play with Cora... while he waits he is spoiled by his uncles, aunt, Nana and Poppy.
On Sunday, we had a birthday party for Brandon. We were so glad to spend time with the great grandparents who drove from Asheville. When asked what kind of cake Dada wanted, Ava told Nana he wanted a monkey cake (probably because she had a monkey cake for her birthday). Of course, Nana listened to her granddaughter and went all out for Brandon's Curious George birthday party.
Here are some highlights of the hundreds of additional pictures taken over the weekend.
