I took both kids to North Carolina this weekend to visit Nana and Poppy and take in their first NC State football game. We had a wonderful weekend and thankfully the Wolfpack pulled through with a victory. We arrived in Raleigh several hours before the game to tailgate and take in the atmosphere. Chad and Cole made the trip with us and as you can see from the pictures we had a great time throwing the football around and walking around outside the stadium. Ava and Bryce also found that throwing leaves on top of Poppy before the game would be fun. Coach O'Brien came to talk to Bryce hoping to get a commitment from our 5 star prospect, but Bryce was too busy eating cookies and playing trains. During the second half, Bryce headed out for a tailgate nap. Ava did show some of her skills running the football with excellent form. We had a wonderful time at the game and can't wait until the next one.
Ava and Bryce got to play in the leaves with Nana and Poppy and their cousins, Cole and Cora, before the ride back to Atlanta on Sunday. As you can see they absolutely loved diving in the leaves and covering up Poppy. They also enjoyed playing in the box fort that Nana made. The kids were nice and worn out for the drive back and were so excited to see Mommy when we got home. When we pulled onto our street in the neighborhood Bryce started yelling "Shannon, Shannon, Shannon." I survived the weekend with the kids and we all had a great time. (Mommy stayed home to set up and work the Holiday Market at Ava's preschool).
