The best way to wear out the children is...
36 Hours of Family Fun!
We left Saturday morning for Asheville, NC to get together with Brandon's dad's side of the family to celebrate two very special peoples' 60th wedding anniversary.

It rained some so Bryce and his second cousin Ryan decided that it would be fun to play in the rain. Before long all of the great grandchildren were cooling off with some puddle jumping. When it stopped raining, they cheered on their daddies and uncles in a basketball game, played some piano, topped off their yummy lunch with a big piece of cake, and basically just ran wild. Cora eventually crashed on Uncle B's shoulder and Bryce was out before making off of his great grandparents' street.
Cole and Ava were thrilled to spend the night in a hotel especially a hotel with an indoor pool opened late!! Bryce and Mommy actually stayed in the van during swim time because we knew Bryce needed the rest. Afterwards, we all went out to eat to celebrate Uncle Chad and cousin Cora's birthdays. Sunday morning, the kids played a little at Mickey D's... and then it was off to the other side of the family's house for lunch and more fun. We are very appreciative of Aunt Jennifer's rescue of Bryce from the indoor playground. And thank you to grandaddy for allowing lawn mower rides. It was a big hit after a delicious lunch made by Mamaw and Nana.

I think Cole might have been "acting" a little in that one, but it went along with the theme of the post anyway. I can't remember the last time Ava fell asleep in the car, but she did as soon as we pulled out Sunday afternoon. Those who know Bryce know he must be pretty tired to fall asleep HOLDING an entire cookie.
