we hit the red rocks of Sedona. When we booked our flights for the National Championship, tickets were substantially cheaper leaving on Wednesday (vs Tuesday - the day after the game). We made plans to spend Tuesday at Sedona... and it really worked out to our benefit. At home we were missing this...
And yes, (maybe not the snow, but) we were truly missing the kiddos and soooooo very apppreciated Nana keeping them... but we didn't miss trying to travel in the crazy weather. By Wednesday, there was still a lot of snow (6 inches), but ATL airport opened. The kids' school was closed all week. Everyone we knew who flew out Tuesday, had to rebook later in the week or drive home from AZ. But fortunately, our flight Wednesday was no issue and we made it home safely.
