Christmas Morning

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:10-11

Because we had a 6 hour drive on Christmas afternoon, we actually contemplated if the kids slept in, would we wake them up so they were have plenty of playtime with their new toys before we left. This was not a problem since Bryce woke up around 6am, maybe a little before... I thought for sure you had to be older to be excited enough to do this. Anyway, we went ahead and got up... we asked Ava coming down the stairs whether she thought Santa had come, she said she did hear sleigh bells while she was sleeping... Sure enough she was right!

We are officially a three car family because Santa brought the kids a jeep wrangler. They had a blast with it. Fortunately, the rain stopped so we could take it outside. Bryce really didn't understand why Santa brought it inside if they weren't allowed to drive it in the house. Stockings were full of books, trains, and other goodies. Yes, Santa came through with Ava's request for Thomas' friend Toby. In fact, Bryce got Toby too.

I didn't take as many pictures as I had hoped. But the good news is that there will now be video coming to a blog near you! Yes, Mommy got a new video camera for Christmas. Yeah!

We feel so blessed this Christmas and always. The kids are probably our favorite age so far... although we hope to say that every year to come... so easy to enjoy yourself as you celebrate such a special day through the eyes of such special children.
