Zoo-tiful Day

Today was definitely the most beautiful weather we have had in 2010. Fortunately, my uncle called last night because his family was driving through on their way home from Spring Break in the Carolinas. We decided to meet Uncle Frank, Aunt Kim, cousins Lauren and Barrett at the zoo today. We haven't been to this zoo since we took our nephew Cole when he was less than two years old (and before we had kids of our own). We had a great time and are so glad we are annual members because we plan to bring Daddy back really soon.

Ava's roar was not quite as scary as Frank's.

Bryce was a good bit younger the last time we visited a zoo. We kept asking him what animal he wanted to see next, and he continued to request fish and cows. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see either of those, but he was very content seeing lots of monkey, gorillas,
zebras, birds, elephants, lions... He loved the meerkats, the naked rats and the playground tunnels that mimicked the rodent tunnels. He was so excited to see "Cheese." I realized that he calls all mouse-like animals Cheese from watching Tinkerbell the movie with Ava. Ava had some especially good laughs with this talking parrot.

Lastly, here is Frank's manual carousel ride and the train ride. Thanks Griffiths family for inviting us and for helping with the little ones.
